Job description

Senior Creative Program Manager at Samsara

Who we are

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.

Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.

About the role

Our Senior Creative Program Manager is the operational engine behind Marketing's creative output. You will own how creative work is taken, prioritized, resourced, and delivered across brand, campaigns, product launches, web, and events, bringing structure, visibility, and best practices to a fast-moving, high-volume creative organization. The role combines program management rigor, creative-process fluency, and executive communication to make sure the right work gets done, on time, at a high quality bar.

The ideal candidate has experience in an in-house creative studio, brand team, or creative agency where high-quality results and tight deadlines are the norm, and is energized by building scalable systems, including AI-enabled workflows, that let creative teams focus on the work itself.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area with working hours in the Pacific time zone and the ability to collaborate with colleagues across a variety of time zones.

You should apply if

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact, helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
  • You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won't be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper growth environment.
  • You're energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
  • You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-caliber team that will encourage you to do your best.

In this role, you will

Creative Program & Project Management

  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional creative programs — from intake and brief review through scoping, production, review, approval, and launch — with clear visibility into scope, timelines, dependencies, and resource needs.
  • Develop program plans for major brand campaigns, product launches, events, and web initiatives, translating Marketing priorities into actionable creative roadmaps.
  • Track milestones and deliverables, provide timely status updates to stakeholders and senior leaders, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Partner with Creative leadership to run regular traffic, prioritization, and creative review cadences.

Intake, Capacity & Resource Planning

  • Run and continuously improve the creative intake process, ensuring briefs are clear, complete, and tied to business goals before work begins.
  • Build and maintain capacity and demand forecasts across internal designers, video and digital design teams, freelancers, and agency partners; recommend trade-offs and escalate constraints.
  • Manage creative vendor and agency relationships, including SOWs, timelines, asset delivery, and budget tracking.

Stakeholder & Executive Communication

  • Serve as the bridge between marketing strategy and creative execution, aligning with PMM, Campaigns, Brand, Events, and Web on priorities, timelines, and approval frameworks.
  • Communicate program health, risks, and tradeoffs to senior leadership clearly and concisely, both in writing and in presentations.
  • Facilitate team discussions, resolve conflicts, and remove impediments to delivery.

Process, Systems & AI Enablement

  • Define, document, and scale creative workflows, SOPs, and governance (briefing, versioning, approvals, asset management) that improve speed and quality.
  • Administer and optimize the creative work-management stack (e.g., Airtable, Jira, Asana, Workfront) and build dashboards that report on throughput, cycle time, utilization, and on-time delivery.
  • Identify and implement AI-powered tools and automations that reduce manual coordination work and improve creative delivery.

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience in an in-house creative studio, brand/marketing team, or creative agency
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder creative programs (brand campaigns, product launches, events, web, video, or content) from brief through delivery
  • Experience building and running creative intake, resourcing, capacity planning, and review/approval processes
  • Proficiency with work-management tools and methodologies (e.g., Airtable, Jira, Asana, Workfront, Google Sheets), and experience building dashboards or reporting on delivery performance
  • Experience integrating AI tools into program management or creative workflows to increase efficiency
  • Strong understanding of the creative production process, including design, copy, video, and web, and of realistic timelines and scoping
  • Experience managing agency partners, freelancers, and external vendors, including scopes of work and budgets
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills — written, verbal, and presentation — including the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving obstacles and risks in partnership with teams and stakeholders
